SEGA STORE OSAKA OPENS AT SHINSAIBASHI PARCO AS
SEGA’S FIRST FLAGSHIP STORE IN THE KANSAI REGION
Expanding SEGA’s Transmedia Strategy with a New Osaka Hub for In-Store Experiences
October 2, 2026 – SEGA is pleased to announce that SEGA STORE OSAKA, its first permanent flagship store in the Kansai region, has opened today on the 6th floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO.
Following the opening of SEGA STORE TOKYO, SEGA's first flagship store in Japan, in July 2025, SEGA STORE OSAKA is the first permanent SEGA STORE in the Kansai region and a new hub for immersive experiences that bring SEGA's transmedia strategy to life.
Bringing together SEGA's creative expertise, the store will offer a wide selection of merchandise featuring beloved characters, including exclusive products showcasing Osaka-inspired artwork and items available only at SEGA STORE OSAKA.
Ahead of the grand opening, an opening ceremony was held on Thursday, October 1, attended by Shuji Utsumi, President and COO of SEGA; Justin Scarpone, Executive Vice President, Executive Officer and Head of Global Transmedia Group at SEGA; and Takashi Sugahara, Store Manager of PARCO Shinsaibashi.
SEGA has positioned its transmedia strategy as a key strategic priority and established the Transmedia Business Division in April 2024. By extending its extensive portfolio of IPs, developed over more than 65 years, across a wide range of media and consumer products beyond games, SEGA is broadening the global reach of its IP and creating new opportunities for fan engagement around the world.
Going forward, SEGA will continue to create transmedia experiences that connect people across geographic and generational boundaries, fostering deeper engagement and new connections among fans worldwide.
