SEGA CORPORATION is delighted to announce the release of the high-speed 2D action game Sonic Origins on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Epic Games Store today, June 23, 2022!
Sonic Origins is a multi-title game containing the classic Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. These titles have been digitally remastered for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Nintendo Switch™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Relive the excitement of the Sonic classics with high-resolution visuals on a larger 16:9 screen!
Run endlessly in Anniversary Mode without ever hitting the dreaded ‘Game Over’ screen, thanks to an infinite number of retries! Or for seasoned veterans of the series, put your skills to the ultimate test with Mission Mode! You can also unlock all the items in the Museum which is packed with a plethora of content from the franchise, such as BGM tracks and unreleased materials.
Test your skills in Boss Rush Mode by fighting all of the bosses back-to-back. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Complete a game to unlock Mirror Mode, enabling you to play mirrored versions of different stages, or relive the adventure in Classic Mode, which offers all the classic features from the original games.
Alternatively, speed your way through Story Mode, which features brand new animated scenes neatly tying each of the four Sonic classics together into one seamless story for the very first time!
