SEGA CORPORATION announced it will be releasing the Mega Drive Mini 2 console on October 27, 2022 (Thu).
The Mega Drive Mini 2 is a complete revamp of the Mega Drive Mini, the first mini console of the Reiwa era. Reviving the design of the Mega Drive 2, it is more compact and advanced than ever before.
The Mega Drive Mini 2 will come with over 50 classic titles, surpassing the 42 offered by the original Mega Drive Mini. A previously unreleased bonus title will also be included, adding to an immense library with endless playtime.
In addition, titles for the Mega-CD accessory are finally playable. Enjoy luxurious gameplay with advanced features such as full-motion video and voice acting.
The Mega Drive Tower Mini 2 decoration kit will be released at the same time.
As of now, ten of the included titles and one bonus title have been announced. The remaining titles will be revealed in future broadcasts. The next announcement is scheduled for June 24 (Fri). Please stay tuned for further news.
