SEGA CORPORATION is excited to announce that the legal thriller game LOST JUDGMENT was released on Sept. 24 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

LOST JUDGMENT is the second title in the JUDGMENT series, which received overwhelming praise from fans, and is a title that allows players to experience a diverse range of gameplay while unraveling a gripping crime mystery. Takuya Kimura returns to give another stellar performance as the game’s protagonist Takayuki Yagami, a detective tirelessly hunting for the truth, no matter who or what tries to stand in his way.

In addition, starring as the supporting characters surrounding Yagami, Akira Nakao, who returns from the previous instalment in the series, Hiroshi Tamaki, Koji Yamamoto, and Ken Mitsuishi combine forces to add even more depth to the story. Also, in response to the overwhelming demand from fans all over the world, LOST JUDGMENT will be simultaneously released both in Japan and worldwide.

■STORY

Metropolitan Police Department Chief Akihiro Ehara has been arrested for allegedly groping a woman on a train. Video footage of his arrest receives widespread media coverage, and the public now demands that he be punished to the full extent of the law.

The very moment Ehara stands to speak after being declared guilty, he informs the court of the murder of a man named Hiro Mikoshiba in Yokohama's Isezaki Ijincho district, immediately raising suspicion of his own involvement. However, reports indicate that the murder took place at the same time Ehara allegedly committed sexual battery; in other words, Ehara, has been granted the perfect alibi by the court.

Ehara’s defense lawyer from the Genda Law Office, Saori Shirosaki, questions whether the groping incident was in fact planned, and asks detective Takayuki Yagami to investigate. As Yagami happens to be in Yokohama sleuthing for a bullying case, he agrees to uncover the truth behind Mikoshiba’s murder.

As the case progresses, a revenge plot appears to slowly creep to the surface. However, as cops, prosecutors, and shady organizations start to get involved, the truth becomes shrouded in darkness yet again. As the schemes of those involved start to collide, new victims also surface.
As for Yagami, in his search for the truth he is once again forced to decide: defend the law, or enact justice?
